The Banner of Love Apostolic Church History

Banner of Love is one of the leading Apostolic Churches in Florida. It’s headquarters is located at 2440 NW 14th Street, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Banner of Love has gained global recognition as a result of its various ministries and yearly fellowship events, as well as from the large number of members who relocated from the Banner of Love family to different locations all over the world.

The early church was established under the divine guidance of the late Bishop Brummitt. The pastoral leadership was later committed to the late Bishop Linbert and Lady Richards.

Currently, the organization is executively governed by Elder Hensel Reid as president and a board of trustees chaired by Elder Rupert Battiste.

Banner of Love organization grew and became one church in three locations.

Banner of Love Apostolic is a movement of churches working together to change the nation through a network of church leaders, national gatherings, training events and resources. Giving God all the glory he deserves.

The church was founded in the late 1940s and was located at Andrews Ave., however, due to significant growth in membership, new property was purchased at the current headquarters at 2440 NW 14th street, Fort Lauderdale, Florida to facilitate a more spacious and comfortable worship center.

At this new site, the Lord continued to add to the church those that should be saved and there was significant growth both spiritually and temporally. This growth precipitated the establishment of branch churches, first in Miami and later in West Palm Beach.

The church now has in place, ministerial departments to enable a holistic ministry. Departments such as Sunday School, Youth, Men’s, Ladies’ and Evangelism focus on the spiritual, physical and social needs of the members and the community.

Members are empowered for kingdom building and citizenship by the preaching and teaching of the word and through evangelism.

At Banner of Love we continue to strive to please the Lord and to bear the light of the truth to a hopeless world.
